Where do you guys waste time online these days? Have you moved on to crap like Facebook? I am honestly curious.


☞ I stopped by Wondercon Saturday. It was surprisingly busy. I met ljpalz astrokittie andtoggy along with their friends Diana and Evan (the finest Kanji Tatsumi cosplayer I have ever seen). I saw an excellent makeup demonstration and shopped the dealer's room.

I bought something from Jeremy Bastian, an extremely skilled dude in the artist's alley. He has a comic coming out next month, and he had some original pages on display.. they were painted on 9 x 12 paper.. with huge margins. I asked him if he really painted it that small because OH MY GOD, the detail was insane. I also had to ask how he inked it, and he told me it was all done with a 00 Sable brush. Now I must get one and fail miserably at using it, haha.

Anyway this guy was my big discovery of the con, most of the rest of the artists were familiar faces from APE, etc

☞ On Sunday I visited ZA DAISO in Daly City. It is a Japanese dollar store, not unlike Ichiban-kan. I was tempted to purchase the foam plastic poop on a stick or a ridiculous sash. But I just bought cheap pencil lead and stationery goods.
