okay here's the plan!
[info]kyubikitsy has informed me ka-blam takes months to print, and I have until the end of the month, so I'll use lulu (they printed books fast the few times I've used them, anyway).
I figured out how to make a .pdf that will hopefully print without incident.

I am currently rushing through the last couple of pages of my comic, I hope the ending will not piss too many people off!
Like I've been saying, I should have finished this comic years ago, and it's not going to be 100% consistent no matter what I do. - SO OH WELL.
I hope to get this done by tomorrow lolol.

This has been a learning experience, for sure.
My next comic will be a bit more professional I promise.

seriously. I'm too lazy to link to it all but you can find it floating around DA/LJ etc. It is a godlike collection of eccentric artists from around the world. HOLY CRAP!!

They're that slow? Shit D: I'll have to contact them and see what their exact turn around time is and update the schedule for the other book if it's do-able :(((( Man, no wonder they're so cheap ;_;

Ka-blam can be reasonable, but you just have to make sure your files are ready to go when they approve them for printing (no errors, etc.) ASAP. Pricing is decent, but if you need a rush on things, you'll be paying a premium. They usually say to account for 30 days for file approval and actual printing... but also account for shipping and proofs/edits/fixes/re-approval of files.

It also depends if they are in convention crunch mode. Our order was in springtime and just at the beginning of the convention rush.

They seemed to have removed their forums, so you can't see the mess people were in earlier this year regarding turnaround times, the growing queue, and non-responsive owners. ^^;; I'm hoping things have gotten better since - because the quality of their product (standard comic sizes - not manga trades) is great.
