Hey, I'm almost done with my third sketchbook commission. :O
I really enjoy making sketchbooks now, and the money I've been making has been really nice.

I just bought a subscription, check out the stupid moving shit I got going.

I made some nice bank on my sketchbook auction. I had another sketchbook lying around (they sell them in three-packs), so I offered the runner up a sketchbook for a similar price. How greedy!

Now I have to fill two (small) sketchbooks. That will keep me busy for a while. Plus there's the comics I gotta make.


I scanned some sketches so everyone will know the kind of garbage I will be filling my paying customers' books with.

This is why CG is so frustrating for me, my laptop monitor blows, I don't have space for a desktop.. URHGH

I just bought this printer for the main purpose of making sure my colors won't look vomitatous in print and on other people's monitors. I have a fancy laser printer, but it's no good for color pictures.

movies:
Mongol is kind of boring and silly honestly, but you get to see Tadanobu Asano and a kid in stocks. Genghis Kahn is Mongolian Houdini apparently.
Wall-e was a terrifying movie. I smirked at the obvious Mac vs. PC theme.
I saw it at the huge shiny new mall downtown and it's funny how completely the movie killed my urge to spend.


I bought a little something at Lupicia before the movie, and got 5 free tea samples (it's almost more tea than I actually paid for). One of the samples was of Momo Oolong Super Grade, which is really impressive, almost worth full price. The oolong is very strong, and sort of jasmine-scented. It has a elegant white peach taste that doesn't overpower the tea. White peaches are one of my favorite fruits, which probably helps. *****

I woke up at 4AM last night because someone set off a horrifying chain of firework explosions. I suppose they were roman candles because they lit up the sky for even more night terror. I HOPE YOU HAD A HAPPY 5th, JERKS

Hey, I colored something.


Someone made me watch Code Geass.
I hate the character designs, the mech design, the garish colors, but the plot isn't entirely terrible -- wait what? It reminds me of FFT/Suikoden II.
I'm skipping around because I don't want to watch all 20+ episodes. I have seen episodes 1 and 2 and one of the newer episodes with Rollo. He's so cuuute.


Something nice happened! I won this HUGE book from a Landmark Theater Film Club contest. It contains photographs of scenes from The Fall, a movie I happened to enjoy (if you missed my last post). Can't complain.
