movies:
Mongol is kind of boring and silly honestly, but you get to see Tadanobu Asano and a kid in stocks. Genghis Kahn is Mongolian Houdini apparently.
Wall-e was a terrifying movie. I smirked at the obvious Mac vs. PC theme.
I saw it at the huge shiny new mall downtown and it's funny how completely the movie killed my urge to spend.


I bought a little something at Lupicia before the movie, and got 5 free tea samples (it's almost more tea than I actually paid for). One of the samples was of Momo Oolong Super Grade, which is really impressive, almost worth full price. The oolong is very strong, and sort of jasmine-scented. It has a elegant white peach taste that doesn't overpower the tea. White peaches are one of my favorite fruits, which probably helps. *****

I woke up at 4AM last night because someone set off a horrifying chain of firework explosions. I suppose they were roman candles because they lit up the sky for even more night terror. I HOPE YOU HAD A HAPPY 5th, JERKS

I saw The Happening. I didn't pay money for it, but I saw it. It is as terribad as everyone says. For some reason the generic Gomer-Pyle-style army character made me especially angry.

Ugh.. I.. I like Code Geass a lot. I still wish it wasn't so ugly, but I deal.
It just does a good job balancing light hearted character development with scenes of ethnic cleansing, cold blooded murder, hostage killing, collateral damage, etc.
The constant Pizza Hut product placement makes me laugh. The animators got some money from the deal, and Pizza Hut gets to represent western cultural colonialism!

I just watched episodes 14-16.They were all highly entertaining installments that focused on Mao, a really interesting character -- BUT LOOK AT HIM EWWW JESUS. Why must they offend my refined taste so flagrantly? :(
